• To the extent possible, we will provide a touchless experience.

  • Entry will be solely through the front door facing Merrimac Trail.  You will find the doors open when you arrive to avoid having to touch the handles.  Please do not linger in the foyer or greet others with a handshake or hug but proceed directly to the auditorium.  (Consider a wink and a wave.)

  • We are asking that everyone who wishes to attend the worship service wear a mask.  If you do not have one available, one will be provided for you at the door.  According to current CDC and VDH guidance, a mask will provide protection for you and, more importantly, reduce the possibility that you might unknowingly spread the virus to another person.

  • As you enter, proceed immediately through the doors into the auditorium.  You will receive a plastic bag with a single serve disposable communion set.  These will have been prepared using safe food handling procedures.  At the appropriate time during the service, you will be instructed to partake of the elements and place the empty cup into the plastic bag which can be disposed of in a container by the door as you exit.

  • Many of the chairs will have been removed and stacked at the rear of the auditorium to facilitate safer spacing and to reduce the task of cleaning and disinfecting.  Chairs will be well spaced in pairs.

  • We will ask that you fill the auditorium from the front to the back, filling the seats at the front first.  This is to minimize personal contact.

  • All Bibles, hymnals, prayer cards, visitor cards and pencils will have been removed from the chairs.  This is to minimize spread from sharing of these items and to minimize cleaning requirements.  As usual, music will be displayed on the screen at the front of the auditorium.  Please bring your personal Bible with you for your own use.

  • As an aid to singing WHILE WEARING MASKS, we will continue to use the a cappella recording produced by Praise & Harmony as we have been using on our live stream, in coordination with a song leader at the podium.

  • A collection basket will be placed at the doors to the auditorium.  You may place your contribution in the basket as you arrive or as you leave.  In addition, you can mail your contribution, deposit it in the drop box in the door by the memorial garden, or make a payment via PayPal just as during the recent weeks.

  • Disinfectant dispensers will be available in multiple locations.  Restrooms will be supplied with paper towels and other materials useful to prevent direct contact to surfaces.

  • Following services, an usher will dismiss by rows, beginning at the back of the auditorium.  Please proceed directly to the door at the end of the hallway, nearest Brian’s office.  If you wish to visit with others at a safe distance, please do so outside.

  • The classrooms, hall to the fellowship room, lobby facing the parking lot, fellowship room, kitchen and fellowship bathrooms will all be closed.  Please do not enter those areas.  This will help minimize cleaning.

  • For the time being, there will be no classes held at the building.  The only activity to be held at the building will be the 9:30 worship service.

  • Wednesday night Bible study will continue to be held via Zoom meeting and telephone call-in.

  • If you do not feel well, please stay home.

  • If your presence would likely create a risk to yourself, others in your household, or the community, please stay at home and worship via our streaming broadcast.
