Our faith communities Senior Saints Small Group in the summer of 2015 became involved in raising funds to dig safe water wells in India in partnership with India Missions for Christ. The Senior Saints see this as an ongoing project to fund future safe water wells to help confront the realities of those who live in water insecure areas in India. This missional work is an extension of gracious hospitality and loving hearts. Our faith community is prayerful and intentional about our missional works and we are unified in gathering around this missional work because it speaks so clearly to the vision of our church, “Discovering Life by Loving God and People. “
Our faith community has a firm commitment to address the very real and present problems of the world community in very real and direct ways. It is our missional purpose to have a direct impact on those living in water insecure areas of India. The well projects also give us an opportunity to identify other needs that can be met.

Simply put, lack of water and dirty water causes needless suffering.
Every day in rural communities and poor urban centers throughout India, hundreds of millions of people suffer from a lack of access to clean, safe water.
Women and girls especially bear the burden of walking miles at a time to gather water from streams and ponds - full of water-borne disease that is making them and their families sick.
With a diverse population that is three times the size of the United States but one-third the physical size, India has the second largest population in the world. According to the World Bank, India has taken significant steps to reduce poverty but the number of people who live in poverty is still highly disproportionate to the number of people who are middle-income, with a combined rate of over 52% of both rural and urban poor.
Although India has made improvements over the past decades to both the availability and quality of municipal drinking water systems, its large population has stressed planned water resources and rural areas are left out.
Our faith community believes actions based on love and hope can change a community, a nation and the very fabric of our faith community. We seek to ease suffering to all who suffer and bring them hope; we seek to be transformed in to the image of the perfect servant Messiah Jesus.
